Testimonials:

‘Eve was incredibly supportive in helping me lay out a plan on what steps were needed to reach my goal and how I was able to do this in a timely manner. I knew that I wanted to be in a position in an arts environment and thanks to Eve I was able to build on my CV and gather the confidence I needed to reach that objective. I'm now working in a gallery and am very excited to see what my future could hold there.’

- Ruby H, Actor and Arts Professional

‘Working with Eve has had a very positive impact on how I see myself both personally and professionally. With warmth and calmness, she has gently guided me towards challenging some of the self-defeating thought patterns I had developed, which were damaging my confidence, complicating relationships with colleagues and holding me back in my career. The advice she gave me was always based strongly on evidence and experience, and proved reliable and effective. What's more, I always felt she was genuinely interested in the issues I faced and invested in my success. This combination of credibility and kindness was just what I needed to help me progress.’

- Amelia F, Education Leader

‘I have worked with Eve for over 10 years, since I stepped into my first executive role. Having a coach has been an essential part of my leadership journey. My first role was as a Headteacher, then Executive Headteacher, and a few years ago I became a CEO in the voluntary sector. To be an effective leader, one needs time away from the organisation to identify issues, set aspirational goals and plan towards them. Working with Eve regularly has given me that time and the support to simultaneously develop my role, my organisation, and my career.’

- Natalie de Silva, CEO, Age UK Wandsworth

'I worked with Eve over a period of 15 months, and I think we covered every possible aspect of life in that time; from finance, to juggling relationships, parenting and work, to career development, redundancy and interview preparation.

Eve has a calm, gentle, yet firm approach, which allowed me to explore exactly what the issues were, and then to find a way forward to achieve what I wanted to. Her activities and tasks, both within and after sessions were perfect to funnel my thinking helpfully, and to allow me to sift through unhelpful thinking to get to solutions. Eve's mix of qualifications, experience, researched background knowledge, and wisdom were a perfect blend to help me navigate life's complexities!

For the first time in my adult life, I felt (and still feel) fully in control of my personal finances after spending time working though them with Eve, for which I will always be grateful.

While working to prepare for my next career move, I was made redundant when the organisation I worked for had to close its services. At a time of incredible stress, anxiety about how I'd pay my mortagae, and worry for the future, Eve supported me through job applications and interviews, and into a job which I'm thoroughly enjoying and which ticks all the boxes that I'd identified as being important to me. At the same time, Eve's guiding hand helped me to offer the best support to my Team, who were also going through redundancy. I cannot overemphasise just how important the coaching sessions were to me through that time.’

Nic Cunningham Senior Project Manager, NHS

‘I have worked with Eve for over 3 years and she has been absolutely instrumental in helping me transition to a new career and has helped me establish a new, much healthier mindset around work life balance.

I was a director at a very well-known business and under a huge amount of pressure on a daily basis with very little left in the tank for my health or my family. I now run a successful advisory business and have a great work/ life balance, spending quality time on those other things that really matter in life.

Eve has a lovely manner, doesn't have a big ego (unlike some other coaches) and is extremely experienced. She gently probes, challenges and cheerleads for you all in the right measures. She also understands what it is to work in a high-pressured environment and gives you practical, yet fundamental ways to navigate all of it successfully.

I couldn't have done all of this without her.’

‘I have worked in Education for 27 years. During this time, I have been a Principal in a school in the UK and the UEA and I am now about to move to China for the beginning of the new academic year. Due to my adventurous nature and desire for a bit of a challenge, I tend to end up in schools that need a lot of care and attention. What I have learned about such opportunities, is that those driving change in such complex organisations, also need care and attention.

My first Headship position in the UK was as a Talented Leader, which was a Government programme to pair exceptional school leaders with the most challenging schools in England. As part of the programme we were offered a Coach to support us on our journey. I was initially allocated a Coach who wasn’t the best match for me and so I struggled to recognise the benefits of having such a person in my life. I laugh about this now. How could I have been so short sighted? I just needed to find someone who ‘got me’.

When I met Eve I understood the advantages of having a coach working alongside you. It is like having a cheerleader, encouraging you and reminding you that you have the skills to overcome the difficulties you face daily. Having the opportunity to regularly reflect on your professional and personal growth is not a luxury, it is essential.

For the last four years, I have been supported in a way that has been instrumental in ensuring that I maintain a growth mind-set. This has allowed me to believe in myself and my capabilities; achieving outcomes I once never believed I could. I have made mistakes, but being able to reflect on the learning that has taken place, without judgement, has been invaluable.’

‘Eve was recommended to me by a colleague at a time when I needed some guidance.

Following redundancy, I felt I needed to reevaluate my whole work life balance. Eve helped me to work out what I wanted and how I would get to where I wanted to be.

As well as the face to face sessions, Eve would give me one or two things to think about between sessions and I found this extremely useful as it helped to look at the bigger picture and how my career fitted into it all.

Eve helped me realise that what was important to me was a good balance between my job and my family. I want to be successful in my career but not at the cost of my children. Really focusing on this and coming to realise what is important, I looked for a job with more flexibility, less travel and less hours. This has given me exactly what I need and meant I am much much happier.

I am very thankful to Eve who helped me get to where I needed to be.’

Tara S, Fund Raising Manager, Charity Sector

'I wanted to build a set of internal tools to help me to face and navigate challenges within my new role, so that I could remain resilient and solution focussed. I sought Eve’s support through coaching based on previous experiences I had with her. Eve’s unique coaching sessions helped to address my worries and prepared me to mitigate negative thoughts / feelings getting in the way of mistakes I knew that I would make within a new leadership role.

I benefited from Eve’s level of questioning that helped me to uncover some of the self-limiting beliefs that stood in the way of my leadership potential. Eve has a powerful skill of walking you through a sensory approach of self-discovery and solutions as you get to the heart of what’s holding you back. This included forward thinking about what I would say, feel, hear whenever I made a mistake and how I could remain focussed on key priorities for my department. It was the best strategy for me and one that I continue to use today. ’

‘I first met Eve for a series of life coaching sessions at the Haven, the breast cancer charity, in 2012. At the time I had taken 6 months off from my job teaching in a secondary school to have surgery and treatments. I had just completed an exhausting course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I was tired but focused on making positive changes in my life.

I had decided I wanted to get back into cartooning and illustration, my previous occupation, but I felt negative and was struggling to work out how this was possible. The Headteacher of my school wasn’t keen for me to work part-time; it didn’t seem an affordable option; my creative confidence was low; I no longer had contacts in the cartooning profession and didn’t have a clear idea of what creative work I could do. In short, I was feeling quite overwhelmed by the tasks ahead.

During our sessions, Eve listened, discussed options, helped me brainstorm, put strategies in place, and take steps towards realising my goals. She gently helped separate my short and long-term plans helping me realise my dreams were achievable. She helped build my confidence, even helping me draft a persuasive letter to the Head. She suggested I go and ‘Find my creative tribe!’ An inspired suggestion as I found a women’s cartoon organisation (LDComics), which provided just the networking and creative support I needed.

Not long after our first meeting, the Head agreed to let me return to work part time and I started work on my first graphic novel ‘The Inflatable Woman’, based on my cancer experience. In 2015 The Inflatable Woman was published by Bloomsbury and was one of the Guardian’s best graphic novels of 2015. I now have a literary agent; my second graphic novel ‘Wolf’ was published in 2018 and I am self-employed full time.

I still have mentoring sessions with Eve. Her astute mind, creativity, humour and emotional intelligence always help me see through my clouds of confusion and more importantly see what really matters.’

‘After reaching a plateau in the job application process, and feeling like my career had lost its sense of direction, I sought advice in order to ascertain what it was I really wanted to achieve. Eve’s approach immediately helped me to re-evaluate my goals, and I am now looking to change the emphasis of certain elements of my career, rather than reconfigure it completely.

Eve has helped me to see my work with new eyes. I have gained confidence and feel a greater sense of pride in what I have already accomplished.

Eve is the perfect coach: gentle, yet firm, and hugely knowledgeable about working life and the application process. I would highly recommend her.’

Fiona G, Freelance Musician and Academic

‘Eve’s impact on my professional and personal life is immeasurable.

Early on in our coaching relationship, Eve encouraged me to take full ownership of my career journey, and to be accountable with focussed goals, timelines and progress updates. She gave me a clear structure and fresh approach at a stage when my job search had become a job in itself!

As my career has developed over the 6 years we have worked together, I now consider Eve to be a valuable sounding board and point of reference in this next stage of life, as a working parent.’

Nick K, Senior Finance Business Partner, Insurance

‘I have worked with Eve for several years, during a period of exceptional change and challenge in my work.

Eve has helped me navigate this in incredibly powerful ways. I so appreciate the range of approaches and tools Eve has in her repertoire; I felt safe to explore some very complex issues and always found ways to progress through these.

During a very difficult period, where I was actually off work with stress, Eve provided exceptional practical and emotional support, enabling me to recover and transition back into full time work, whilst addressing the underlying issues. Eve has a flexible approach, but also creates a boundaried, safe space for reflection and learning.’

‘During my first professional job, I was dealing with an unpredictable and emotional boss. After a year in the company I wished to ask for a pay rise but I was wary of her reactions given how she had reacted to seemingly reasonable requests in the past. Her behaviour was irrational and aggressive - and as a result we all tended to avoid her.

Eve helped me prepare a clear and concise argument as to why I deserved a pay rise and gave me skills and advice on what to do in the event my boss didn’t respond the way I would hope for. After my session with Eve, I felt confident and prepared to have the conversation with my boss and I managed to secure the pay rise I had hoped for.’
