With colleagues, or people you manage, it can be difficult to address important issues, and achieve the outcomes you need.  With friends or family members unresolved differences or things left unsaid can create tension, resentment and unhelpful patterns of behaviour.

And in leadership roles we may find some conflict between the need to convey clear direction and explicit expectations, whilst at the same time creating positive relationships.
