Coaching

  • Executive Coaching...

… is generally about workplace issues: the demands of a new role, leading a team or working with colleagues, delivering challenging targets, managing an increased workload or high-pressure periods, getting promoted, dealing with the politics.

  • Life-Work Coaching...

… tends to focus more wholistically on personal or career matters: creating a positive life-work balance, managing a career change or return to work after a break, negotiating life or family transitions.

In reality the boundaries can blur, and you can move between topics. Whatever your focus and priorities, you can be confident I have a wealth of strategies and approaches to guide you along the way.

Coaching is not always about a problem or concern. More positively it helps you achieve those things that really matter to you, so that you are living your values, paying attention to your aspirations, and turning dreams into realities.

You will experience structured time to think, help to define and set goals and practical support to achieve them. Whilst paying attention to what is going on for you now, our focus will be on looking ahead and moving forward, realistically, practically and aspirationally.

We can also bring in specific new strategies, such as assertiveness, interview preparation or public speaking skills, or practical approaches to manage workload, increase your influence or raise your profile. More personally you may wish to take stock of where you are in life, achieve greater clarity of direction, galvanise forward momentum or increase your happiness and fulfilment.

In a busy life, with obligations and responsibilities, it is all too easy to forget about you. We often put ourselves last – and inevitably our wellbeing will suffer, which of course affects everything and everyone else around us.

Get in touch if you want to:

  • Explore your aspirations and specify the changes you wish to make – even if at this stage you’re not sure what those look like

  • Identify the practical steps to achieve your objectives and goals

  • Overcome obstacles in a considered, structured and focussed way

  • Grow your confidence

  • Enjoy increased happiness and well-being, a healthier life-work balance and greater personal and professional success.

The Practicalities

My approach is entirely flexible and led by your needs. I know that things can change fast and our work together responds to your experiences and the changes along the way.

You only commit session by session. I do not ask you to sign up to a programme in advance when we do not know how quickly you will achieve positive outcomes. It’s often quicker than you might think.

At the start we’ll explore what would work practically for you. Your objectives, diary and budget will be our guide, determining the frequency and the time scale of sessions. Most people have the first 2 sessions a few weeks apart and then every 3 - 4 weeks. The first session is 1.5 hours and thereafter either one or one and a half hours. Once in the process you can also have half-hour speed coaching sessions for urgent priorities. You can opt out at any time.

To fit in with busy diaries I work some early mornings and evenings as well as office hours.

We will work on Zoom with the option of face to face sessions should that be practical. You will generally take away actions and activities to do between sessions and we can have interim email contact if you need.

It is useful to think of coaching as a time-effective - and cost-effective - way of making the changes you desire.

Eve has helped me to see my work with new eyes. I have gained confidence and feel a greater sense of pride in what I have already accomplished.
